Irish Coffee for an Irish Holiday
Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day more than a Guinness at a pub with your friends. But if stout is the official drink of this Irish holiday, we figure an Irish Coffee is not far behind. While everyone has their own take on the recipe, we like to stick with the classic version.
What You’ll Need:
- six ounces of hot, fresh brewed coffee- 1 teaspoon of brown sugar for sweetness- 1 1/2 ounces of Irish whiskey (your choice)- heavy cream
While most traditional recipes don’t call for a specific type of coffee, we think the dark chocolate and caramel flavours of our Metta Espresso would make a delicious base for this festive drink. As always, if you’re going to enjoy a drink, we ask that you enjoy responsibly. Now that you have the ingredients, you just need the mixing guide and you’re set to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day with a Salt Spring Coffee twist.

Sláinte!
